|
I have a "corrupted" WP6 file where some of the footnotes are showing up as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (15 Xs in total) when viewed in WP6. However, when I view the document in NeoOffice (and OpenOffice) all of the footnotes appear to be correct. My question is ... does anyone know how Neo/OpenOffice convert footnotes? There must be some code sequences that they use. I've looked at the hex code and I can see some patterns but not enough to fix the code for WP6 or even to identify what caused these errors.)
Any clues would be appreciated. |

NeoOffice uses code from open source libwpd project. Since neither I nor Ed wrote that code, there isn't much we can tell you about the code so grokking their code to see how they are parsing the WordPerfect files is probably your best bet.
