LOTR ROTK Extended Edition halftime

Well, tonight my new build finished but I didn't get much debugging done. I figure I'm a geek and might as well admit it...

It's halftime for me in the middle of ROTK Extended. I don't know how many LOTR fans may be out there, but even if not I must admit that the ROTK Extended is simply *amazing*. The first two extendeds definitely had a feeling like some of the scenes were just inserted in, and even at times in Fellowship looking like portions were shot on different film stock. The first half of the ROTK Extended, though, has been phenomenal. Everything really is seamless. Not only are some of the new effects scenes just breathtaking to the point of "if only I could see that in a theatre" but nearly all of the additions just seamlessly blend into the storyline. The new battle for Osgiliath is phenomenal. This really is a must see. Kind of makes me wish Jackson et. al. had spent as much time and $$ on the other two extendeds

OK, I've geeked out enough. Time for disc 2.

The preview had three things I have been hoping for: Saruman, Faramir + Eowyn and the Mouthpiece of Sauron.

But I am holding out on watching EE until Christmas week, when we will view all three films back to back, sustained only by turkey sandwiches.
