Dear Dev:)
I work a lot in CALC and I have installed the latest Patch. I just want to tell u a very small but annoying bug/misbehaviour in a CALC Cell:
After a (text-) cell is double-clicked. the txtcrsr becomes visible. By a further double-click on a certian word i can mark this single whole word.
BUT I AM USED to this behaviour: in a txt(editor), when i double-click-and-hold on a word, i can further mark word by word by moving the mouse left/right.

OK I'm moving this to Support as the Development forum is really for issues identified by or relevant to developers working on NeoOffice.
As I understand it you are saying that when you double click a word in a Writer document if you hold down the second click you can drag the cursor to select further words. This same behaviour is not available in Calc. Is that what you are saying?
I don't know if this is a bug or expected behaviour in Calc. Someone might be able to test it in OOo 3 for Macintosh and see if the behavoiur is the same. If it is expected behaviour, or if it is a bug in the OOo code, then it will not be able to be fixed in NeoOffice due to the limited resources of the NeoOffice project. In which case you would need to file it as an Issue in OpenOffice.org.
To some extent you can work round it by placing your cursor at the beginning of text you want to select and then holding down the mouse button and dragging, or - if you have already selected a word by double clicking - you can hold down the shift key and click in the additional text you want to select and continue to drag until you have selected all the text you want to select.

Exactly

Plz treat my question as a support inquiry/suggestion!

This work around is not quite as good my suggestion, coz i often need it;) It would b nice if i could check a checkbox in the options, somewhere to switch it on
The behaviour you're seeing is unfortunately built into the OpenOffice code on which NeoOffice is based - it does the same thing in OpenOffice 3.1.0 (NeoOffice v3 is based on OOo v3.0.1) so it's not likely to change any time soon. I don't know whether it's a conscious decision on the part of the OOo developers to make double-click-drag select more words in Writer and not in Calc, but that's what happens.
There is already an enhancement request concerning this which goes right back to OpenOffice v2.3, as this functionality is not available in the Impress (slide presentation module) either, only in Writer. I've added a 'bump' to remind them that this should ideally be available across the modules - they are already aware of it, so you might want to go over there, register, and vote for this enhancement .
