Hi
When I go to the "New from template" (shift+cmd+n) I can see a folder called en-US which i dont want to see (have a swedish version). I have removed all the standard search paths in my settings. The only search path for templates is a path to a folder I have created (~/Library/Application Support/NeoTemplate). Still I have the en-Us folder being displayed. I have noted in the program package that there is such a folder, but it doesnt seem right that I should have to erase something in the program package.

And another issue - in the left pane in the window for templates and documents (the shift+cmd+n window) there is from top to bottom

New Document
Templates
My Documents
Example

Can I add folders or files to that left pane in any way?

Thanks![/i]

While the template folder is named "en-US", it has nothing to do with which language you are using. What you are seeing is the "en-US" template folder that Sun Microsystems' "Sun Report Builder" extension registers. This folder contains several templates for creating reports in NeoOffice Base.

I do not know why Sun Microsystems' engineers used such a non-descriptive name for your templates folder, but the only way to uninstall the folder is to remove the Sun Report Builder extension. If you want to do that, let me know and I can post Terminal commands to safely uninstall that extension.

To add more folders, press the Organize button in the bottom left corner of that dialog. In the dialog that appears, you can add a new folder by selecting an existing folder in the left pane and then click the Commands button and select New from the popup dialog that appears.

To add an existing template file, open the template file and then select the File :: Templates :: Save menu. In the dialog that appears, select the template folder to put the template in, enter a name for the template, and press the OK button.

Are you able to add template folders and files using these steps?

Hi

As for the "Sun Report Builder", I have no idea if I would ever want to use it. I assume the extension could be reinstalled if need be, so I would appreciate the necessary terminal commands.

With regards to adding folders.. yes I can however not in the way I wanted to.
I enclose a picture of the relevant window. What I want is to be able to add to the left most pane, i.e the pane where the red arrow points to.

Thanks

To uninstall the Sun Report Builder, first quit NeoOffice as you cannot uninstall shared extensions while it is running.

Then, launch the /Applications/Utilities/Terminal command, copy the following commands into the Terminal window, press the Return key, and enter your Mac OS X user password when prompted by the Terminal application. Note: these commands assume that you have installed NeoOffice in the default /Applications/NeoOffice.app folder and have not moved or renamed your installation:

Code:
cd /Applications/NeoOffice.app/Contents/MacOS
sudo ./unopkg.bin remove --shared --verbose sun-report-builder.oxt

To reinstall this extension, you will need to reinstall NeoOffice and, if there is a patch available at that time, the latest patch.

Sorry, but you cannot change that section of that dialog.
