I've discovered NeoOffice 3.0.2 EA (with recent test patches) on Intel/10.5.8 crashes when opening the following document: حركات.odt (It opens fine in 2.2.6).
I can also trigger what I believe to be the same crash when selecting all the text in kashida-sizes.sxw and changing the font to Scheherazade Regular (AAT), a free AAT Arabic font from SIL: http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/render_download.php?site_id=nrsi&format=file&media_id=scheherazade_aat&filename=ScheherazadeRegAAT_ttf.zip This operation also works fine on 2.2.6.
I don't have earlier 3.0.x installs around to be able to see if this crash first appeared in 3.0, 3.0.1, etc. 
kashida-sizes.swx to follow in the next post, since I've exceeded the number of attachments for this one.

Your crash logs both show that the crash is occurring in the section of code that I modified yesterday to fix bug 3582 so I suspect yesterday's changes are the cause of that bug.
I will install the SIL font and investigate this today.
