Hi – I'm new to the forums and think I've searched for this problem (without success) – apologies if I've missed it. Oops re missing title.
I moved a large (~700 pg) document to a new MacBook running NeoOffice V3.1.1 P1 (just updated the patch) from an older MacBook running NeoOffice 2.2.1 P0. As best I can see, the sizes of the characters (Times New Roman various pts, mainly 12) have all remained exactly the same – but the line spacing is now a bit larger (10-15%??) -> the bottom two lines are migrating to the next page. That's the first question: any ideas why this would happen?
I tried to fix this by reducing the line spacing with proportional, but I see no effect. I can make the spacing larger, but not smaller. Second question: any suggestions?

Although it may be due to other causes, the most likely reason is that you are seeing the effects of the line spacing and ligature changes that we made between NeoOffice 2.2.2 and 2.2.3.

To get the line spacing to be narrower than the native font height, set the line spacing to "Fixed" instead of "Proportional" and then set the height in the text field to the right of the listbox that you set to "Fixed" to one point less then the font size. For example, if the text in your selected paragraphs are set to 12 point font size, then input "11pt" in the text field.
Trying "Fixed" left many diagrams all over the map (they were likely not consistently placed re wrap). But your reference and identification of "line spacing to be narrower than the native font height" led me to try a much smaller reduction. (I was trying 80% and in that area - which must have been below the font height.) Less reduction does work up to a point (font height, I'd guess)...
Can you tell me if I first go to 95% and then to 93%, is that 93% of the 95% or is it 93% of font height? 92% is getting very close to being ok, thanks. I'm trying to avoid "having to redo the layout" as mentioned in your reference with this quite large document.

Using your example, it is always 93% of font height and it is not 93% of 95%.
