Correct. However, if you are on a desktop or laptop running Mac OS X, Windows, or Linux and you log into NeoOffice Mobile through your web browser you can download the original document to your machine and edit it in OpenOffice.org or NeoOffice by clicking on a document's "View" link and then selecting one of the "Download" options in the popup menu that appears (see the attached image for a screen snapshot of this popup menu).
