In the attached document, select all only selects the text at the top of the page, regardless of where the cursor is. I'd expect select all to select all text.
I think this is actually behaviour from openoffice, but I mention it anyway.
This is actually normal OpenOffice.org behavior when the cursor is in a Writer table. In such cases, press Command-A or selecting the Edit :: Select All menu selects the entire current table cell. Then, if you do the same action a second time, the entire table will be selected.
What is broken is that when a table is the very first object in your document and you do the same action a third time, then the entire document is supposed to be selected. However, in OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 (the version that NeoOffice is based on) and OpenOffice.org 3.3 (their latest version) this does not work and so this is definitely an OpenOffice.org bug.
Fortunately there is a workaround for this OpenOffice.org bug: move the text below the table inside the table. To do this, put the cursor in one of the existing table cells. Then, insert a new row in the table and then merge the cells in that new row. Put the cursor at the beginning of the text just outside of the table and select all of the non-table text using your mouse and select the Edit :: Cut menu. Then put the cursor in the new row and paste.
I have attached your sample document after applying the above approach. Does selecting all now work normally for you?
