Re: the announcement of NeoOffice 3.2 Patch 1 I have patched my installation of 3.2.
This topic considers users of 3.1.2 on Intel. When that version is installed the suggested patch is NeoOffice 3.2 Patch 1, which is inapplicable.
The patch download page seems limited to users of 3.2, which is fair enough (encouraging users to donate and gain that version), but that leaves the question of how non-donating users of 3.1.2 should officially obtain patches for security etc..
I found a NeoOffice-3.1.2-Patch-8-Intel.dmg at an alternative site, I'll verify its checksum. |

On 24 April I put in changes on our patch download pages specifically for NeoOffice 3.1.2 users (see my post here).
If you are running NeoOffice 3.1.2 but do not have the latest patch, pressing the "Download" button in NeoOffice's "check update" dialog will open a page that downloads the latest NeoOffice 3.1.2 patch. Only after you have installed the latest NeoOffice 3.1.2 patch will you see the "new version available" page.
Did you seeing something different since I made the above change? Or were you already using NeoOffice 3.1.2 Patch 8?

I forgot to reply to the above comment. Most likely, the site that you found is deep linking to one of our volunteer mirrors. Many of these downloads sites like MacUpdate, CNET, etc. do not host binaries as their revenue source is advertising so few if any such sites ever mirror our binaries.
We have 10 or so volunteer mirrors that host all of the NeoOffice 3.1.2 downloads, language packs, and patches. All of those same mirrors also host the NeoOffice 3.2 patches since we don't force anyone to confirm that they are donor in the last year to download patches.

FYI. Since we just released NeoOffice 3.1.2 Patch 9 with a bug fix for Mac OS X 10.7, NeoOffice 3.1.2 users should get redirected to the NeoOffice 3.1.2 patch page if they have not installed Patch 9.
