So Eric Bachard reports today the first successful launch of of a 1.9 milestone build of Mac OS X / X11. He's posted screenshots at http://eric.bachard.free.fr/mac/MacOSX_m71s1/png/
Congrats Eric and the rest of the porting team!

I would say so! That is great news to wake up to. But it now begs the question: what is the roadmap (horridly abused term, but I'll stick with it for now) for NeoOffice/J?
AFAICT, there will be a beta 2 or 1.1 release based off 1.1.4 and incorporating the fixes that Ed and Patrick seem to be making all the time. Then I read about a 1.1 Gold Master based on 1.1.5 to enable compatibility with the 2.0 file format.
Now 2.0 is firmly on the horizon (and also that far off) and Java 1.5 is somewhere around the corner (though it was conspicuously absent from the new year's releases from Apple). Switching to either or both will require an enormous load of work.
I guess I am curious about what will happen next . _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

this was posted elsewhere in the forum, but i dont' remember where, but basically ed said that first there would be 1.1 final. then probably a 1.5 release (which i think would be oo.o1.1.5 plus more nifty aqua things)
by then oo.o 2.0 x11 should be up and about, so migration can begin.

Well, first off we have to keep in mind that 2.0's release date for top tier platforms is still March iirc, so just because Eric B has a build that launches and presumably mostly works doesn't mean 2.0 is here
Secondly, I don't think it's changed the Neo release plans (to choose a less-overused term) at all; the thread for that, though, is really http://trinity.neooffice.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1009
(with the one added wrench that I have just successfully lobbied for a full 1.1 RC release to provide a better out-of-box experience on our first >0.x, final release; see this thread).
