After trying all my other apps such as CrossOver and Parallels with XP on my iMac, I updated NeoOffice and was able to play this PowerPoint file flawlessly including the sound track.
I am very pleased with the results and will be using this more often to test my website designs.

We have to give credit for the quality of the .ppt and .pps import features in NeoOffice to Oracle Corp.'s OpenOffice.org engineers. While Ed and I have done a lot of work to get NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code to work smoothly on Mac OS X, the OpenOffice.org engineers gave us a lot of good code to start with and while the OpenOffice.org code's ability to import Microsoft Office file formats is not perfect, IMHO their code is in many cases pretty good.
Is it appropriate to use the NeoOffice forums to post political propaganda?
I don't waste our precious engineering time reading the content in attachments and, because only logged in users can see the attachments in posts, Google and other search engines will never see the attachments.
So, if any user is worried about their attachment being seen by a lot of people, in most cases only I, a few of our moderators, and a few dedicated users like yourself will ever bother to download and open an attachment.
