2013.1 Mac Store Download Versus 3.3?

What is the difference, if any, between the Mac store download and the 3.3, patch 10, direct download? Are there any advantages to one versus the other for me? Also, does it help you if we choose one or the other as I am glad to do what works best for you.

NeoOffice 2013.1 is basically NeoOffice 3.3 Patch 10 modified to fit within the security restrictions imposed by Apple's App Sandbox.

Although Apple's App Sandbox does provide significant security protections against malicious extensions and/or scripts in documents, those security protections forced us to limit or completely remove some features that are in NeoOffice 3.3. A complete list of differences between NeoOffice 2013.1 and NeoOffice 3.3 is available on our NeoOffice in the Mac App Store page.

Another way to look at it is that NeoOffice 3.3 gives you more features but you have to pay using PayPal. In constrast, NeoOffice 2013.1 gives you more security and you can pay using your iTunes accounts but you get less features.

I forgot that NeoOffice 2013.1 has one feature that is not in NeoOffice 3.3: if NeoOffice 2013.1 crashes or hangs and the Mac Crash Reporter window appears, pressing the "Send to Apple" button will post a copy of the crash report in our Apple developer account.

While crash reports may not give us enough information to be able to fix a bug, we can use such crash reports to search for similar crashes in OpenOffice's or LibreOffice's list of bugs and, from that, possibly find a way to reproduce the crash. Once we can reproduce a crash, there is a very high likelihood that we can eventually fix the bug and release that fix to both NeoOffice 2013.1 and NeoOffice 3.3 users.
