I installed NeoOffice on my mother's Mac that runs the public beta of El Capitan. I didn't test extensively, but it ran and loaded a docx at least.
It did however, warn every time when I opened it that NeoOffice might not function correctly with this version of OS X. "We recommend that you install the latest version of NeoOffice.".
I installed NeoOffice 3.4.1 Patch 17 Test 3, so it should be as up to date as it gets (also gave this with just Patch 17). _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"

We don't have a version out for El Capitan yet. El Capitan is still in beta and still has several changes that I need to analyze and implement fixes for in NeoOffice.
If you are running NeoOffice 3.4.1 on El Capitan beta, I make no guarantees that NeoOffice 3.4.1 will work. NeoOffice 3.4.1 is a 32 bit application and my experience so far is that running 32 bit applications on El Capitan is risky.
If you must use El Capitan beta, I recommend that you use NeoOffice 2014.13 or higher from the Mac App Store as it is a 64 bit application.
