So, Oscar asked about these awhile back (right around the Beta release)...we still can't get complete/accurate stats, but just a few from the two listings that do track downloads:
In the ca. 10 weeks since Beta was released, Neo/J has been downloaded over 5000 times at each MacUpdate and VersionTracker.
We've been averaging over a hundred downloads/week at MacUpdate, about 20/day (we don't get detailed breakdowns at VersionTracker).
I'll try to remember to do this from time-to-time if there's interest.

FWIW, there were nearly 20,000 downloads of "Patch-5" from www.planamesa.com.
Damn.. that's a lot, I think
Thanks for those stats, Patrick!
Given Neo/J's relatively low profile so far, that's indeed a lot! (And IMO, those Patch download stats are about the most accurate stats we can get).
This means there are approx 10,000 installations of Neo/J that came from other sources like directly visiting planamesa.com, mass-rollouts based on one download (we already know Ray does this), etc.
Quite impressive!
By way of comparison, the MS Office 11.1 update has had 40,000+ downloads from VersionTracker and 11,000+ from MacUpdate since October 12, 2004. (I don't recall if that was before or after the Office auto-updater mechanism was released.)
OpenOffice.org 1.1.2 has had almost 12,000 from VersionTracker and 171,000+ (!?) from MacUpdate since June 27, 2004.
Considering how off-the-radar Neo/J still is, I think we're doing quite well. Hopefully 1.1 Final will really break out and blow all of these away

Nice stuff!

So that means Neo/J commands about 5%+ of the market now?
Of course, there's a couple of million Mac desktops out there, wasiting to be conquered, but that will come in good time . _________________ "What do you think of Western Civilization?"
