I put a csv file up in the usual place called repeated icons list. It's a dump from the renaming program. The one thing with the nature of this raw data is it tends to repeat itself a lot: If there are two icons of the same name, each one will score a hit, so each will be listed twice. If there are three, it will be listed three times, and so on.
But if figure that someone more clever with a spreadsheet than I could sort this into a list pretty easily.
I'm not convinced on the onset that the existance of the same icon in different slots is necessarily wrong. Seems like it makes sense that the same icons would serve different purposes (but then, why different slot numbers?) Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to check each one by hand.
But, that's one of the exciting adventures that await!

Okay, I lied about my compulsiveness. I went ahead and converted the KDE from version 0.7 and put them up at the usual spot.
I noticed something interesting along the way: There are 171 icons in the set, but NeoIconer reported it was replacing 183 in the program. After some tinkering, I was able to determine that the slotlist we are using repeats use of the same icons, two or three times. Effectively, about one hundred repetitions.
The optimist would say that means a hundred less icons to create, a pessimist would say the slotlist will have to be tuned. Something that can be dealt with as we go along, for sure, but just figured I would mention.
I tried this, with success. 183 icons, nice modern look. THanks Brett, I like it so far. I find that I am using NeoJ all the time now. Only occasional probs, usu when Word can't cop with soemthing which I am about to sent to others who use Word. Eg I make a doc in Apple Pages, save it as a doc file to share it: NeoJ will usually read it well, but there are awlays probs with Word and I have to work around them!
Yes, thanks for the work, the KDE icons are generally pretty splendid - though I prefer the Nuvola Save/Save As, because icons with diagonals (such as the KDE versions) look really jaggy (and the built-in record_macro.png is way more elegant than the big red blob... chaqu'un à son goût...)
What are the current criteria for making icons? - 22x22 and png, but how about transparency - if I use Gimp/PhotoShop v5, what save options do I need to set for the files?
