NeoOffice.org website overhaul?

I've been toying with the idea of giving the main NeoOffice.org website an overhaul for some time. I've been tweaking CSS and the like here on trinity for some time, and trinity looks good as a webpage (as long as your'e not using IE 5.0 on OS 9 & prior)...but the main NeoOffice.org website looks amateurish.

Thoughts? How could the core website be better and still be served up as static pages? (It gets too much traffic for me to generate it out of a database like a nuke system)

PS: Historical background...I initially had a volunteer web developer that was going to help me layout the NeoOffice.org site last year but bailed on me so I had to do it myself...and HTML layout under pressure isn't my strong suit.

I'd be willing to help with code and what not. One thing i do is use PHP to separated content and layout. Makes changes to the site easier to do.

Oh, and if you need a DB for the main site, let me know, i have one of those too. =)
