How can I make NeoOffice open with a specific spreadsheet at start up on a Mac?
I tried putting the ods in the Admin/library/startupitems and also using an alias (which I would prefer) but I still get an empty NeoWriter doc.
Thanks

Playing around in the file system is not the answer.
System Preferences
- Accounts
-- Login Items
--- Click the + and navigate to the file you want to open at startup |

Thanks MacRat. This was something new for me.
JohnBerry, did MacRat's solution work for you? If not, let us know what what shows on your screen at startup and we can look into it further.

MacRat's reply answers the question as far as COMPUTER Startup items go. If you several other apps in startup items the Mac seems to skip about between them and this leaves NeoOffice a bit confused.
However, what I meant (and did not say clearly) is that I open NeoOffice 'manually' is gives me a text document and I want a spreadsheet.

Thank you for clarifying. There are several ways to do this, all of which are explained in this article in the neowiki. The first option (Launch shortcuts) is the easiest to set up. NoMu (currently the last option listed) has a lot going for it, too.
