Who can help me?
I am living in the Netherlands Antilles; I would like to use in my "calc" sheet our local currency. How can I input a new one in the currency list?
Our currency is: Netherlands Antilles Guilders - the abbreviation is: ANG
Unforuntately, bad news is that the dropdown list of currencies in the Format dialog is hardcoded in NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code.
The good news is that you can still enter currencies that are not in the dropdown list of currencies using the following steps:
1. Select some cells that you want to apply your currency to
2. Select the Cells :: Format menu and in the dialog that appears, click on the Numbers tab
3. In that tab, select Currency in the Category list and select a U.S. dollar format in the Format list that most closely matches the number formatting that you want
4. Go to the Format Code text field and replace all occurrences of "$$" with "$Æ’" to replace the dollar sign with the guilders symbol and press the OK button
Do the above steps display Æ’ as the currency symbol in your cells?
