In addition, I have made an enhancement that saves a thumbnail image of the first page of a document in PDF format when saving in the OOo file formats. Up until now, OOo only included a very small, unreadable PNG thumbnail image.

FWIW, this was one of the biggest stumbling blocks in the Leopard support I've been working on up until now. The PDF suport allows us high-quality integration with Finder previews, file dialog previews, Time Machine, etc.

Patrick and I are well aware of Leopard's impending release and are not sitting idly by.

Patrick,

NeoOffice-2.1-Patch-5-Test-6-PowerPC.dmg seems to fix the "text scrolling tearing" problem that appeared in the Patch 5 series. It was really bad during test-3-4.
I don't have an test case for you but I'm trying to keep up with your rapid-fire tests!

And text and graphics in Impress looks fast, clean, and animations seem to run better
( Bug ? using test case "1473-Présentation de l\'option Spécialité.sxi"

There's at least one instance of lines drawing in incorrect colors I've seen, but I've not found a reliable way to reproduce it or track it down. It occasionally happens in tables in Writer documents where the lines draw grey instead of black (for default tables). For the life ofme I can't find a good reproducible test case, so if anyone sees it regularly please forward along the info.

Here's another test patch to try. In this test patch, I have fixed bug 2453 and bug 2407 as well as jgd's bug.
Patrick

No more jgd's bug. It works fine.
Thanks Patrick

Ed, this was caused by the same non-rectangular clipping bug that ovvldc's post described which I fixed in test patch 5.

One minor, minor issue I've noticed: if you move your cursor up over the toolbar grab-area (and so it switches to the crosshairs arrows) and then continue *straight* up into the titlebar, it remians the crosshairs arrows rather than reverting into the standard Mac pointer arrow. If you move left/right enough while going up, you move into another icon's place and the cursor switches properly.

I can file this in Bugzilla later if you want to defer it Wink

I don't see this with Mac OS X 10.4. Since you use 10.3.9, I suspect that you are seeing a Mac OS X bug as Mac OS X should be the controller of the cursor outside of the application window.
