Hello Patrick,
One very important thing would be to change the windows in Open or Save, because they are really not Mac os x like. We are in the french part of Switzerland, in Geneva, and our Students don't really speak english, so it's difficult to move in the hierarchy of folders in english (by example : Bureau means Desktop, Bibliothèque means Library). I know that you find this in OO, but is it possible to change that in NeoOffice ?
What you are really asking for is a native file dialog. The bad news is that this is not a trivial amount of work so it won't be in the Neo/J 1.1 release. However, the good news is that Red Hat and Ximian have successfully got native file dialogs to work in their Linux versions of OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. So, adding a native file dialog to Neo/J is feasible and, if donations continue to come in, we might be able to add it sometime before the end of 2005.
(James, one of the new posters around here who has some developement experience, said he was going to take a look at it, but he's still trying to get OOo to build AFAIK...)
