Dear friends
I work with very big spreadsheets (like 19000 lines vs 40 collums, 5.7MB size (sxc format)). These sheets take around 4 minutes to load completely in Neooffice and it is hard to navigate through then. For instance to make a graph withing takes lots of time (many minutes to draw and to scroll). In excel the same file is loaded within 30 seconds and is very fluid (whatever you do). My question is: why this behaviour? I have an ibook G3, 700Mhz, 350 MB ram, running last patch..
To work in .sdc format doesn't change the loading time.
I wonder if an native neooffice version in cocoa wouldn't change the speed of loading and working flow.
NeoOffice, like openoffice itself (in OSX), is pretty demanding of ram - it does tend to run slower on machines with less than 640Kb, becuase there's a lot of paging in and out of memory.
