Check the download page at OpenOffice.org for offical releases of this product. I don't know if any of the unoffical locations finished building and testing yet.

Since more than one month. |
I knew that. But have we properly congratulated you and the team on that achievement yet?
If not: Nice Work !
With any luck we can bring in all of the Mac users in from the cold. Why, you got it working faster than Microsoft..
(BTW, this leaves a nice option for NeoOffice - nice reasonably Aqua compliant word processor that can work with M$ docs natively <EG>).
Merci beaucoup et au revoir,

It looks like the testing team has been very busy and found a few anomolies in both of the previous 2.0.2 release candidates and thus had to produce a third. Mac OS X X11 builds for both PPC and Intel platforms should be underway as I write.
And I would like to add my thanks to Smokey's on the Intel build. Oops!
That should be Oscar, not Smokey folks. That's what I get for writing in the middle of the night...
Next: NeoOffice with OpenOffice 2.0.2 and Universal Binary builds for X11.

Looks like I spoke too soon. rc 4 is now available. Looks like there were MAJOR problems with rc3.

I received an e-mail from Joost Andre, do not use rc4. rc5 is soon to be released with several more show stopper fixes.

James slaps Eric in the middle of the back (in grand old English style) and says "Thank you Eric for the Mac OS X porting team completing a useable Intel build."
In other words, this is what I meant. I wanted to add my "Thank you" to the growing list of those folks who are glad to see there is an OpenOffice.org 2.0 for the MacTel.
The next logical step would be to complete work on the Universal Binary version, for those of us who presently own a PPC based MacIntosh but will someday move to a MacTel (or if this ever becomes reality, installing Mac OS X instead of the garbage that comes from Redmond that was installed on our Intel based PC.)

To be fair : this is a team work, not only mine, and Florian Heckl, Stephan Bergmann and Daniel Boelzle have contributed a lot for this port too. Without one of them, it would not be possible.

Traduction un peu tardive
Et je voudrais ajouter mes remerciements à ceux de Smokey (sardisson) pour la version Intel d'OpenOffice.org. |

Very nicely translated. But unless I am really missing something, Smokey has not posted to this thread, so where was this coming from?...
Just nitpicking on James for a bit..
Best wishes and good night,
