NeoOffice 1.2 is based on OpenOffice 1.1.5, which does not include Base.

The upcoming (look for it around six months from now or so) NeoOffice 2.0 will include Base.

Best wishes,
Oscar

You can set up a simple database with NeoOffice by following this tutorial :

I am in the process of building OpenOffice.org 2.0.2rc5 and it appears to not contain Base either, but I can confirm this when the build is complete.

Why would it not be available for Mac? That makes no sense to me! Or am I missing some technical limitation. I dimly recall something about Java (1.)5, but am not sure..

Can anyone tell me what's going on here? I was looking forward to an easy way to deal with databases from an office suite..

Best wishes,
Oscar

check and see if Base built with my OpenOffice 2.0.2rc5 build in a few hours, but I remember that it was not available with 2.0.1rc5.

So do I. This a major feature that I feel should be included with the Mac OS X version of OpenOffice.
