Hi Guys - just got me another Mac after 12 years in PC land - thank goodness for Intel and Parallels!
Thanks also to NeoDevelopers for making a nice port of Oo!
I tried Oo2.03 and it had problems opening .xls docs from an SMB share on my XP box - tried using NeoOffice and worked like a charm - hence here I am!
I have a problem with Oo and NeoO and how it saves long text (256 char max) cells. The .ods saves are fine but when I save as .xls it truncates to 256 chars. Now this is not a file format limitation on Excel - I know this because I can save and open to my hearts content in Excel 2000.
Any chance there is someone here who knows what to do about this? i can use Excel on parallels as a workaround but hey...I am a Mac user again now!
Cheers,
Combined |

This sounds like it's a limitation of OOo's Excel export filters since it occurs in both OOo and Neo, and should be reported in the OOo IssueZilla (unfortunately, we don't have the resources to fix bugs in core OOo functionality ).
Welcome back to the Mac
