Hi,
based on your help one month ago, I was able to remap certain keyboard shortcuts using the procedure described here.
I added an extra menu "Navigation", put the desired items (e.g., move one word left) there, and assigned the appropriate shortcut (Option-Left) via the Mac OS system preferences. Everything worked fine.
However, after updating to the latest version, this functionality is lost again. Whenever I try to use Option-Left for moving, the "Navigation" menu item flashes (so assignment still seems to be valid!), but the cursor only moves by one character.
Ok, since noone seems to know a way to fix these problems, I must assume that this is a bug concerning the Aqua menus in the new Beta 3.
Is there a possibility to download older versions? I know that the shortcuts worked in Aqua Beta 1, so I'd like to go back there until this issue is fixed.
