OK, so today I get a notice in the mail that the vanity plates for my new car ("99 TIGER") are ready for me to pick up at the local DMV. All I need to do is present my existing registration and plates and exchange them for the new plates. I must do so within 30 days or forfeit my custom plates and lose the $$ I paid to reserve them.
Problem is...the DMV hasn't yet sent me non-vanity plates and registration info for my new car and currently says they have a 1-2 month backlog.
If only my government could be aware of the fundamentals of multithreaded programming ...
