Am trying to use the sort command with numbers that were generated by the random function and can't get it to work. I can sort "regular" numbers (not generated by random function). How can I get this combination to work?

Are the random numbers generated anew on each spreadsheet update? (when you change something it gives you new numbers).

If so, I can understand why Calc cannot sort a value that changes when you are working on it. You could try to select the column, than copy and paste as values. That will stop them from updating next time, but they should already be random.

Best wishes,
Oscar
