Someone has filed bug 2543 in Bugzilla today. I was able to "reproduce" the bug in NeoOffice 2.1 & 2.2.1 and hang (sort of) the corresponding OOo versions.
However, I'm wondering whether the original poster and I are using the Mail Merge Wizard incorrectly; the Mail Merge article on the Wiki doesn't contain much information, and the first section does not seem to apply (following the list of steps I posted in bug 2543, I can't click "Change Table...").
Can someone with better understanding of the Mail Merge Wizard help me and mickeinlalaland in this bug ? |

I could reproduce the bug. I guess it has something to do with handling the value 0 or with numbers generally: When I replaced 0 with "m" and 1 with "w", the salutations were correct (I had to delete the data source via Tools > Options > NeoOffice Base > Databases first and add it again for getting the changes in the Calc file registered).
I would think this is an OpenOffice.org bug, but I can't test it. |

That's only if you had another table chosen before. If you use the Wizard the first time (or after a NeoOffice upgrade), you simply select/add the new data source. "Change tables" applies only, if there is more than one table in a database/ data source (adresses.ods has only one). |

Funny: NeoOffice/ Mail Merge "copied" adresses.ods to adresses0.odb into my home folder.  |
