Hi,

since I installed Leopard, NeoOffice crashes very often here (I can work for only a few minutes).
I'm sorry that I'm so unspecific, but the only things I realized, that it happensvery fast with complex documents that include from elements.
I have one particular kind of document that crashes very often, it uses font's for form elements that don't exist on Leopard. These elements are blank, if I use font replacement table they appear, but in both cases the document causes a crash.

Do I have to wait for a Leopard update or a NeoOffice update?

All the best
Christoph

NeoOffice 2.2.2 is not unstable if you did a clean install of Leopard. So, if you are running the latest NeoOffice version you most likely upgraded a machine with system hacks that are incompatible with Leopard. One specific case is described here at Apple's website:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306857

In addition, you should look at the instructions NeoWiki article for how to disable or remove common system hacks:

I forgot to mention that if you are using NeoOffice 2.2.2 and you are sure that you have no system hacks on your system, then please file a bug in Bugzilla and attach a crash log using the steps listed here.

Leopard really needs to be installed with either the archive and install or the clean install options. A number of applications and drivers have actually installed helper haxies that can destabilize the system. I haven't noticed any leopard specific instability but I do not use leopard regularly yet (and probably won't for some time)

If you do have a specific document that is causing the errors, please submit it to our bugzilla system so we can examine if its leopard, ooo, or something else that is causing your issues.

I'm more and more amazed by the NeoOffice Projekt:
Not only is NeoOffice pretty fast by now,
and it also always supported all the new OS Features of Leopard (and back in the days, Tiger), nut
even the forum is amazing.

Thanks a lot for the tips and fast and numerous responses. One of your links send me to a page that suggested removing SIMBL and it seems like that did the trick.
(Strange though, since SIMBL declared itself Leopard compatible.)

Again thank a lot

Oh, it probably runs fine on Leopard. It just wreaks havoc with other software. But that was already the case on Tiger, so nothing much has changed there.
