Posted: Thu Nov 01, 2007 10:07 am Post subject: Upgrade procedure, 2.1 -> 2.2.2
It seems I've skipped a couple of patches and now I'm a bit confused as to the procedure to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.2. I downloaded the patch for 2.2.2 (Intel) and attempted to install directly over 2.1. The installer did not allow this, reporting that it needed to find an installed version 2.2.2 to apply the patch to.
Do I need to patch 2.1 to 2.2.1, then 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 before I can intall the latest patch? If so, where could I find the patches for the earlier version?

You cannot apply patches to get from NeoOffice 2.1 to NeoOffice 2.2.2. Instead, you will have to download and install the full NeoOffice 2.2.2 installer.

Unlike what the error message claims (that you need NeoOffice 2.2.2 to install patch 0), you can install NeoOffice 2.2.2 Patch 0 over an existing NeoOffice 2.2.1 installation.
However, you can't install Patch 0 over NeoOffice 2.2.1 Early Access or earlier (such as NeoOffice 2.1). You will have to download the full NeoOffice 2.2.2 installer.
