I'm new to NeoOffice . . . . people tell me that they cannot open attachments that I send. With Word for Mac, it was so easy. This must be simple, but I cannot figure it out. thanks.

They can open Word attachments because they either have Microsoft Office installed on their machines or Apple's TextEdit application is opening it.
If you save and send your files in Word format, then should work. However, if you are saving as an .odt file, then they will need OpenOffice or NeoOffice to open the file.
If they are getting the messages in Apple Mail, the headers of the attachments will be scanned and determined to be ZIP files. (which they actually are)
