I leave in an hour or so for a church conference. I'll be in meetings from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day and won't have my laptop with. "See" you all next week.

Thanks for the well wishes. So far all is well.
I stumbled across a computer available for guest of the conference site. I thought I'd check in briefly.

I'm back. In many ways it was a good conference; our deliberations were more respectful than is sometimes the case, and we were able to laugh together often.
On the down side, it seemed to me that more people became ill or injured than is usual during our proceedings, and we were all distressed at the severe weather and significant flooding that happened in our state during the gathering and is continuing.

Happy to see you back
But very sorry for the flood in your state. I saw the pictures in the TV. Really dreadful. With you in thoughts.

Thank you, Jacqueline.
I am not affected directly, nor am I likely to be, due to my location. At most we may end up with water in our basement, although so far that has not happened. My parents live near one of the areas that is flooding, but they are not within the flood zone.
But I ache for those who are affected, both in our state and elsewhere in the midwest. Yesterday a levee broke in a town that was decimated by a tornado a few weeks ago. Disaster upon disaster for those poor folk.
I appreciate your good thoughts. We lifted the situations up in prayer at our conference and I have no doubt that the prayers and good thoughts will continue and will help carry everyone through.
