I have a NeoOffice Basic macro defined to fetch the current time, and insert it into a cell with a specific format ... but I have to highlight the cell I want it in, then choose my defined Menu item "Time Stamp".

Is there a way to activate a column of cells, so that when I simply select a cell in that column, that cell will be filled with the Time Stamp value? (in lieu of having to also select the Menu item).

Some way to link the cells with the macro results ...

Just need to know where to look ...

I can't help with the selecting columns piece, as I don't know anything to speak of about Macro coding.

But you can assign a Macro a keyboard shortcut or a toolbar button.

There are instructions on how to do so in this article in the neowiki.

I just added instructions on assigning a macro to a toolbar button to the page I listed above.

Thanks.

Using your suggestions, I chose to associate the F3 with my macro at present.

Still wish I could link the filling of the cell(s) to the macro result ... one less step to filling it with the current time ... just mouse click the cell, and the current time appears, idea ...

Will read on when I have more time ...
