Help!!! I password-protected an .odt file and now can't get into it. Of course, this is my resume, and I've nearly finished it and I'm despairing. What can/should I do to recover the password? Thanks to all who help.

Are you sure that the problem is that you are entering the wrong password? Or are you getting other error messages? If you are getting other error messages, can you tell us what they are?
Unfortunately, if the error message is that you are entering the wrong password, then I am very sorry to give you the bad news that your password is not recoverable. NeoOffice's underlying OpenOffice.org code uses a very secure encryption algorithm to prevent anyone from hacking your password so there is no "back door" into your file if you no longer know what the password is.
I'm sure, sadly. I've tried every password I usually use. Thanks. The error is Read error 2.2. The wrong password has been entered. I'll just start rewriting and get over kicking myself as it won't help.
