I came across an error in calc where undoing a paste action does not have the expected result. It's most likely an Openoffice bug, but I nevertheless decided to report it here just in case. Steps to reproduce the bug:
open new calc doc
enter something in cells A1 and B1 (e.g. "A")
select A1 and B1
copy
select A2 and A3
paste
undo
Where undo should revert cells A2 through B3, it fails to act on B2 and B3.
I have some bad news. As you suspected this same behavior occurs in OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 (which NeoOffice 3.0 is based on) so this is an OpenOffice.org bug, not a NeoOffice bug.
I also tested in OpenOffice.org 3.1 (their latest version) and the bug is still there. I also tested in OpenOffice.org 3.1.0 (their latest version) and the bug is still there. Since it was not present in NeoOffice 2.2.5 (or its underlying OpenOffice.org 2.2.1 code), it appears that this bug started occurring in OpenOffice.org 3.0.
Unfortunately, our very limited funding and developer resources limits the current scope of the NeoOffice project to keeping a native version of OpenOffice.org running on Mac OS X and fixing any critical crashing and hanging bugs that our users find. Because of these limits, fixing OpenOffice.org feature bugs is outside that scope.
You can file a bug in the OpenOffice.org issue tracker to see if the core OpenOffice.org developers have the resources to implement immediate update of page break guidelines and, if they implement this behavior, the new behavior will get included in a future release of NeoOffice:
Note: our advice is to not mention NeoOffice as mentioning NeoOffice may cause OOo volunteers to accidentally close it without actually reviewing your feature request.
