I'm trying to save documents in DocBook format, Writer keeps telling me that it gets an error trying to write the file. Other formats save OK. I looked over the bug reported about this and went through all of the steps suggested, but my directories are setup correctly and permissions are set correctly and I still get the error.

I have few questions for you:

What is the exact error you receive when saving in Doc Book format?

Can you save in another format in the same directory?

What version of NeoOffice are you using? You can determine the version by selecting the Help :: About NeoOffice menu.

1. The exact error is "Error saving the document Untitled1: Write Error. The file could not be written" ... which is strange because the document WAS given a name for the save.

2. I immediately saved the document to the same directory in .odt format with no problems. I haven't checked all formats, but I have used several without problems.

3. I'm using NeoOffice 2.1, patch 0

Have you tried using the latest version? The version that you are using missing the last two to three years of my bug fixing work.
