Formulas get spaced excessively and
the format spacing... menu does not change anything.
That did start to happen until I applied patch 12 to Neooffice 2.5.5,
but it was not corrected with Neooffice 3.0 path 4
Formulas in old documents stay fine, until I try to edit them.
Any suggestions? |

I think you may be running into a recent bug. Can you try downloading and installing the test patch in this trinity post?
Does the test patch fix the spacing problems in formulas?

I have the same problem with formulae in neooffice writer. I tried it with neooffice 3.0 and patch 7 (intel) on os x 10.6
i tried to downgrade to 2.2.5, but the 2.2.5 installer stalls/freezes/loops at "running installer script" so i don't know if 2.2.5 has the same problem. |

Running Snow Leopard? If so, this is a symptom of bug 3538. Apple has definitely broken some of the font metric query functions in Snow Leopard.
Unfortunately, no development is being done on NeoOffice 3.0 at this time and all Snow Leopard development work and bug fixing will occur in NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access which is scheduled for release on 15 September 2009.
If you are a NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access Program member, we will post a test patch once we fix the bug that you can try when we have a fix.
If you are not a NeoOffice 3.0.1 Early Access member, any bug fixes that we do during the Early Access Program will be available fordownload NeoOffice 3.0.1 starting on 27 October 2009.
