HaveNeoOffice 2.2.5 patch 13. on a MacBook with OS 10.4.11 Am of a Great Age so forget things...
I write a news letter and must present it as a collection PDF on a CD for printing. As we can't afford color printing I must use greyscale images.
In Text document have always been able to go Insert > Picture>from file and a full colour jpg leapt onto the page. A menu offering Color - Greyscale-Black and white, click greyscale and bingo, it happened. That little box seems to have disappeared sometime in the last few months and I can't find a way of getting greyscale HELP
Why 2.2.5 ? Cos a huge crash (first since 1980 something!) led to me having to set up a new user to recover stuff and now the Mac cries 'insufficient memory' at downloads despite having several GB and displaying no other memory problems Ah well. But is better than a hand cranked Brusveiger calculator !

When the picture is selected you should have the Picture toolbar showing. (If not, choose View::Toolbars::Picture.) There is a drop down menu in the toolbar which by default shows 'Default' (!) click it for other options, one of which is 'Grayscale'.

What has probably happened is that at some point the Picture toolbar's default setting was set to "hidden". To display that toolbar, can you try selecting the View :: Toolbars :: Picture menu and then click on one of your .jpg images? Does the Picture toolbar now appear?

I have never seen this behavior in Mac OS X 10.4.11 but since NeoOffice 2.2.5 is a very large download, it sounds to me like it might really be an insufficient disk space issue.
If you Control-click on the icon for your main volume on your Desktop and select Get Info from the popup menu that appears, a window will appear. What values are shown in the General section's Capacity and Availability fields?
