I just downloaded NeoOffice-3.0.1_Early_Access-Patch-2-Intel.dmg and now when I open an Impress document the backgrounds are blue.

I am not seeing this behavior with my presentations so can you attach a sample Impress document that we can open? We will take that document and open it with both Patch 2 and pre-Patch 2 versions to see if we can reproduce what you are seeing on our machines.

You can attach a sample document using the steps in this forum post.

I also have some steps that you can try. This may not change anything, but it is possible that your problem is caused by a corruption of one or more of your user preference files:

1. Quit NeoOffice

2. Move the following folders if they exist to your Desktop or Trash. Note: "~" means your Home folder:

~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-3.0
~/Library/Preferences/NeoOffice-2.2

3. Restart NeoOffice

Do these steps fix the problem? If not, can you attach a sample document using the steps in my previous post?

More news: one posssibility is that what you are seeing is an unintended result of my fix for crashing bug 3512.

Once you attach a sample document and I can reproduce what you are seeing, I can fine tune the fix for the other OpenOffice.org crashing bug so that it does not cause the bug you see.

Another user reported a similar bug this morning in Calc charts. I fixed that user's bug and I have posted a test patch in this forum topic.

Can you install the test patch in this forum topic and tell us if my fix for that user's bug fixes your bug?

The fix for the bug referenced in the previous post is included in the NeoOffice 3.0.1 release. This release can be downloaded from the following URL:

http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/earlyaccessdownload.php?fragment=download

Can you try downloading and installing the NeoOffice 3.0.1 release and tell us if it fixes your bug?
