I want to post a question to the forums, but my netiquette tells me,
to first carefully search for an existing answer before actually posting!
Sadly, your forum software (phpBB) only offers the following search options:
Search topic title and message text.
Search message text only.
But (by default) not the useful option: Search topic title only.
And because of that limitation, my search results are pretty fuzzy and therefore of little use.
My post shall be constructive!
I have done research, and below you can read my results.
The forum policy does not allow me to post URLs, which is sad, as I really intend to contribute (rather than seek) help.
Automatisms such as this rule, assume very general settings and are by nature not flexible, but I can understand them, as you seem to have had spam problems.
As a workaround I have created bit.ly short URLs. Maybe an admin/editor could later re-edit my post, if it was considered to be of value.
How to enable Search Topic Titles Only in phpBB
A guy at the Open Office Forum also complained about the missing search functionality, in an offtopic remark ( bit.ly/rFTQB )
A MOD was developed for phpBB which fixes the missing feature:
Search Title Only MOD 1.0.0 ( bit.ly/3NHUf5 )
Meanwhile the functionality seems to be integrated in the main functionality of phpBB.

Hopefully this can be implemented at the NeoOffice Forums!

Sorry, but your post is not appropriate for this forum as you are essentially making a feature request. The NeoWiki and Website Development is for NeoOffice volunteers to provide translations and other work, not to suggest what work you think we should do.
