Every time I open neooffice I am getting the error message in the attached screen shot. It has been like that for a week or so. I have restarted my computer but the message keeps reappearing. Is this a problem? What can I do?

If you have rebooted your machine, you can safely ignore this error message.

This error message usually occurs because NeoOffice has crashed or you have "force quit" it. It does this because when you start NeoOffice, NeoOffice creates a temporary file. When you quit NeoOffice normally, NeoOffice deletes the temporary file.

However, if NeoOffice crashes or you force quit NeoOffice, the temporary file is left on your hard drive and when you restart NeoOffice, it sees that that temporary file and displays the warning.

One question: if you select the Help :: About NeoOffice menu, what version and patch is displayed? I ask this because this problem is usually caused by a crash and since I have fixed several crashing bugs in NeoOffice's last few patches, I suspect that you may not have the latest version or patch installed.

Hey Partick,

I have NeoOffice 3.0.2 Early Access Patch 0. I closed NeoOffice and reopened it and the message did not appear again. I had to force quit NeoOffice several times in the past but I believe the problem is related to zotero, not to Neooffice. I am using the beta version of zotero because the stable release does not work with the current version of NeoOffice - and zotero has always produced problems once you work with files larger than 100 pages - besides being an awesome reference tool. Thank you for getting back to me so fast and thanks for the great work in general.
