|
Hello,
I am trying to import EMF pictures in Neooffice (as it is currently the "best" vector format supported by openoffice on all platforms).
It used to work fine with Neooffice 3.0.2, and it does work fine with go-oo 3.1 . Buy Neooffice 3.1.1 seems to have problems with EMF not created by openoffice itself (and EMF created by openoffice are not readable with Microsoft ENHMETA.exe, which is annoying as it shows they don't follow the standard).
I have tried with files generated both by word 2007 and by my own software, and neooffice 3.1 seems not to get the size of the emf right at all.
Can please something be done about this ? I feel I had the problem with early versions of openoffice 3.1 on Ubuntu.
Great job in any case,
Best regards,

Can you confirm that I am seeing what you are seeing?
When I open a new, empty Writer document and insert your two .emf files using the Insert :: Picture :: From File menu, the inserted image only displays the top left corner of the .emf file.
This same bug occurs in Novell's Go-oo 3.1.1.1 release but not in OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 so this appears to be a bug in one of the Go-oo code modifications.
I will look through all many Go-oo code modications and see if I can identify which one is causing this bug. If I can find it, I will remove it from the NeoOffice code and post a test patch for you to try.

Hello,
I confirm. Only the top left part of the rectangle from word appear, and for the owl drawing, nothing is visible (all the picture is out of frame).
Best regards,

(BTW, it appears to work in Goo 3.2.0 so some kind of patch is perhaps available there) |

FYI: I have created bug 3612 to track this issue.

FYI. I have included the fix in NeoOffice 3.1.1 Patch 2. The patch can be downloaded from the NeoOffice patch download page.
