I attached and emailed myself numerous short test docs saved in Neo Office 3.1.2 patch 0 (as well as Open Office and then Open Office 3.2.1, which I downloaded during the testing), as a check. The formats were Word 95, Word 6.0, Word 97/2000/XP, Word 2007 XML, Starwriter 5.0 (.sdw), ODF 1.2, and TextEdit 1.6. Except for TextEdit, none were openable on my iPod Touch (2d gen) running iOS 4.1. With all the others I got a [?] icon on the attachment or either an "unable to open" or "this version not supportable" message on the opened attachment page. I was sending from a Mac Core 2 Duo running OS 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard). My ultimate goal is to edit on the app Text Editor Pro 4.2 (current), which uses the standard web kit, as do Safari and Mail. Should I do something different, or is this a NeoOffice (and Open Office) problem, as Text Editor maintains? Thanks, Jon Stein
It appears that you have posted in the NeoOffice Mobile Support forum which is not the right place to post about your iPhone question. The NeoOffice Mobile Support is only for reporting issues with our NeoOffice Mobile produce.
Since you are really asking the question "are there any products that support editing NeoOffice and OpenOffice.org files on my iPhone" (neither of which have iPhone versions), I have moved your post to the Random Whatnotforum where it will be seen. That forum has a minimum donation limit but once you donate the minimum amount, please post a reply and we will start working on your issue.
