Since I installed the 3.2.1 beta, NeoOffice automatically launches itself when I boot up or log in. But it's not in the launch items in System Preferences, so there must be a daemon running. How do I turn this off? |

NeoOffice does not run any daemons so I assume that you are running Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. Is that correct?
If so, I suspect that you are seeing one of the new features that Apple added in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion: automatic relaunching of applications that you had running when you last logged out of or shutdown your machine.
The way to stop this behavior is to explicitly quit all applications that you do not want to relaunch before you log out of or shutdown your machine.
Does quitting NeoOffice before log out or shutdown stop this behavior?

I also found another way to disable this behavior. When you log out of our shutdown your machine, you will see the attached image. Unchecking the "Reopen windows when logging back in" checkbox should make your Mac behave like previous versions of Mac OS X. |
