Seems plausible that there should be some way to do this, but I can't find anyplace to alter my file-save destination folder from "Documents."
(I like to keep active files on my desktop where I can see them until I'm finished working on them.) |

You should be able to change the default save folder using the following steps:
1. Select the Tools :: Options menu and in the dialog that appears, select the NeoOffice :: Paths item
2. Select the "My Documents" item in the list and press the Edit button. Select your Desktop folder in the dialog that appears and press the Open button.
3. Press the OK button in the Options dialog to save your new preference.
Do the above steps work for you?
