I think we've learned our lesson Being without the wiki was painful not only for the release activites but also for some of the follow-up new user questions and such that followed....

next time we can make static pages from the announcements and put them on a more floggable server =D
In fact, any account with an hourly limit would have been better for this. At least we'd have had intermittent coverage. This is not intended to bash the Wiki or Jake's efforts, it is just that a such an account on a big server could deal with being slashdotted like that.
