hi Folks,

i am running latest 10.4 and OpenOffice 1.1.2 (though the About mentions
version 1.0b9) and Apple's X11. now X11 seems to run fine, so far.
but when i have an OOo doc open and i switch to another virtual
desktop (i use Desktop Manager with 5 desktops) and then back,
OO and my X11 xterm no longer respond, i.e. take input. i cannot
any longer write on my OOo doc and i can no longer enter anything
on the xterm command line interface.
i have not have that problem when i don't have OOo running and only
an X11 xterm.
does anybody else have this problem? in another setup (XDarwin?), in
the same setup?

cheers,
arno.

Different problem, same result. After a Classic crash I had to reinstall Tiger and Oo won't start, not finding X11 (which, of course, is in his correct location in Utilities). I uninstalled Oo and wanted to reinstall, but it keeps asking for the Panther CD, which of course I do not have. Is there a way to have the installer locate X11?

Did you reinstall X11 as well? Try starting it and running an xterm session. If this works, I don't know if I can help you fix this problem. However, it appears as if X11 cannot find the display (which should be localhost:0 or :0) or something else is munged in your X11 install.
