All:

I received an announcement for OpenOffice 2.0 Release Candidate One today. I will look, this evening, to see if Maho/Pavel/Eric is working on a MacOSX specific version.

To everyone who has used the MacOSX specific versions, please provide feedback to mailto:dev@porting.openoffice.org The Porting Mail List. Tell them which location you got the port from and your opinions such as what works/does not work/needs to be improved.

I would like to see a MacOSX release version AT THE SAME TIME as the other releases, such as Linux, Windows(TM), and UNIX.

The release of OOo 2.0 is a requirement before the NeoOffice team can start work on a 2.0 version of NeoOffice/J.

Hi James,

I have an M130 ready for testing. I have uploaded it on stardiv but it isn't spread yet simply because my contact persons at Sun are/were in Coper for OOoCon.

I hope that once they are back in Hamburg they may make it available for distribution over the official mirror network.

Latest Mac OS X cws is integrated, meaning that it has the new drag and drop app installation and basic fondu support.

A big thank you Eric. This is the one with the 'Drag and Drop' installer? That would be a very good thing to have fixed and makes it more "Mac" like.

Also, I will try to get it and install.

And it would solve the persistent problem with the installer-based versions fubaring permissons on users' Macs Wink
