Looks like the some of the prebuilt links on this stickey are gone. Erics accounts is gone gone so i imagine the moved it, removed it or changed how to access user directories. You can find a build that should work for mac osx here. I'm not sure if there are newer ones. And i havne't run it yet but.... here it is.

PostPosted: Tue Sep 20, 2005 10:44 am    Post subject: Problem with Pages? Or OOo 2.0?

Has anyone had success getting a file (created or opened in OOo 2.0--any version--and saved a MS Word .doc file) to open in iWorks' Pages? I get an error with each version I've tried. I do not get this error when I do the same thing in OOo 1.1.2 or NeoofficeJ.

Here's the info from Console (I think):

/Applications/iWork/Pages.app/Contents/MacOS/Pages: CGContextGetCTM: invalid context

What's up with dat?

I have tried m130 at http://ooofr.org/telechargement/macosx/2.0/m130/

It is contained in a single application package and installs via drag and drop, I have to say I am impressed Surprised

It also claims to automagically use TT fonts if fondu is installed which wasn't installed on my PowerBook.

Edit : After installing, it works Smile
Edit2 : Sorry, there was already a topic about this Embarassed

fondu would only be installed if 1) you're a real geek using lots of X11 apps and you installed it for that or 2) you've previously used one of the official OOo builds (Ed's installers) that install all the things you need to use OOo properly Smile

Well, I'm a kind of geek but I don't really like X11 over Mac OS X Razz
And I hadn't installed Ed's builds on my system so I used Eric Bachard package.

I have to say I was quite impressed to see the new self contained application package so maybe I'll try to use it and test NeoLight on OpenDocument files Wink

Just another update:

Eric B's web site has a version of OOo 2.0 that has fondu support built into the latest version. If you use this version, you will need to visit the Fink or DarwinPorts web site and install Fondu first and then install the OOo file(s). This version will support the native MacOSX fonts.

Pavel continues to build MacOSX and is up to version m132.

And lastly, I continue to work on OOo 1.1.5/1.1.6.

Yes, but as reported in different thread, there are problems with Fondu and some of the Mac fonts. Testing will take some time.

Hello !

It's possible to install fondu without installing fink or DarwinPorts, see http://fondu.sourceforge.net/

The latest package is avaible here

ericb->gpiroux

fondu is inside OOo, and only the version inside will be used
Install another fondu is useless with m133.

Here is a "How to add fonts to OOo 2.0 beta" but is for OOo 1.9.128. For 1.9.130 all path are to be updated for the single OOo.app.
On my experience not all OSX .dfont can be converted to Truetype using fondu.

And better still, this is a mac application package that you download, not installation package(s). No installation needed apart from putting it in the /Applications folder. I'm deeply impressed - thanks Eric!

- yoxi

EDIT: one weird thing, though - after running OO2 in X11, NeoJ with the j1.4 patch crashes repeatedly until I log out/in again.
