I have a problem with labels and merging data from a database (spreadsheet).
I once used 'synchronize contents' (options pane of File>New>Labels) for a job, and now I am unable to generate a label document without synchronization.

I want each label on a page to contain a separate record from my database, but every time I set up a label document, every label on the page contains text of the same record and Ooo tries to produce a new page for each record in the database file - a large number of pages!

This happens even though the 'synchronize contents' option is *not* selected. Can anyone suggest a remedy?

OpenOffice.org 1.0.3 running on xfree86-4.3.0-2 using Blackbox window manager

No longer a problem. Instead of entering fields in 'Labels' dialogue, I've dragged them into the document as per 'Printing Address Labels' in Help.
